call me crimson. collector of cute boys, master of reading between the lines, carries around special marker to create missing lines, constantly crying, sometimes I watch anime, trying to write smart but so many boys in my brain, it’s hard to concentrate!
Hey! Thanks for stopping by. Here's a bit more about me:
I'm a weeb who loves to collect manga (esp if it's BL) and other items I very likely don't need or have room for
I'm always weak for shows that feature a male-only (or mainly male) cast
My goal is to one day gayify all the fictional men I've fallen for (aka. the only reason anyone (me) should learn how to art for)
I really need to get back into writing for the blog, HELP
What do I do?I mainly share a lot of BL, friends' creations (blogs), and my own content, which varies. I live for Boys Love, and dabble in other otaku content (anime, manga, LNs), other queer (usually Asian) media (music, games, dramas), games, and language study sessions (in Spanish and Japanese). If any of this sounds interesting, then check out my (in need of gay mouth-to-mouth resuscitation) blog A Nerdy Fujo CriesMore of a BOOKISH connoisseur?Good thing I'm a jack of all nerdy content because yes, I have a blog for that too. Lemmi Bookmark That! is where I drop thoughts on queer and fantasy titles, author interviews, my TBR and read pile updates, and (occasionally) share excerpts
* I don't update on a schedule
* currently lost in exhaustion

fanfiction FESTA
coming 2025
your host
call me crimson. collector of cute fictional boys and bl blogger hoping to give some extra love to fanfiction stories
Oh? What's this about?
fanfiction FESTA is an idea that won't stop gnawing at my brain. the goal of this FESTA is to share AND comment on as much fanfiction as we're able to as a community! For a whole month!Crimson will then create 1-3 posts on their blog with links to all the fanfiction sent their way (more details on the process below). Here is an example of what the end product would look likeThis sounds familiar...
This FESTA is a combination of many influences, but especially the JCS and the fanfiction writer appreciation event. In fact, we are lucky enough to find guidance and help with the FWAE mods!I love fanfiction! How can I participate?
Good question! We have a lot of ideas but here is the bare minimum we need to make this event a reality!
Writers: writers are encouraged to submit (1) of their fics to be promoted, read, and commented by at least (1) person. This will be done via X/Twitter using a tagging and hashtag system. All submissions MUST be appropriately tagged
Dedicated Readers: a team of readers who will commit to reading at least (1) story submitted by writers, and leaving a positive comment. This role is crucial. We will have a signup session later!
Passive Readers: readers who will organically join this event and leave positive comments on the fics we promo. There is no expectation for this role. Passive readers can read whatever catches their interest. We also hope to have a few games to make this more interesting
Behind the Scenes: a team of mods who will help create content/keep things in order. As of now, we're interested in finding an art mod and perhaps one more dedicated mod to help Crimson. If we can't find mods for these roles, we still plan to run the event
Do we have to write new stories for this?
Nope! In fact, we strongly urge writers to share fics they've written before the start date of the event. And stories they wish had more comments. We want to give no/low-comment stories some much needed loveWhen will the event start?
We have tentative plans to start the event in February 2025. But a fixed date will be chosen after the Interest Check closesIs there a limit to what can be submitted?
As of now, each writer may only submit (1) story. We may change this rule depending on participation. In terms of content, we have decided to be a Pro-Ship event. And in terms of word count, we are still deciding what the maximum length should be.Help us out by filling out our interest check!I have more questions...
Feel free to drop by our Retrospring or DMs. You can also drop your questions in our Interest Check formWe will also release more details once we have more data/see if people are interested in joining
FAQ
(from messages I may get)I'm in OO-fandom. It's not anime. Can I submit for this event?
Yes! I know I'm primarily an anime blogger (and fan) but I would love it if we got submissions from a variety of fandoms: TV shows, games, books, etc. What is DD?
DD is short for dead dove (do not eat), which is how many people categorize darker and often taboo content. But at its core, it means to check the tags and to not freak out when you find yourself staring at exactly what was forewarnedWhat about AI?
AI-generated content will not be welcome at this event. Also, with Twt's new features (the errant block function & AI-training), we've decided to move to Bluesky for our main base of operation
fanfiction FESTA
